Education & Minimum Experience

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Minimum 3 years relevant work experience

 

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Understanding of SQL and/or MySQL
• Understanding of UNIX or Linux administration
• Knowledge of relational database management systems, object oriented database management systems and XML database management systems
• Knowledge of graph and/or NoSQL database solutions
• Excellent knowledge of backup and recovery scenarios
• Experience documenting processes and procedures
• Knowledge of Amazon Web Services
• Demonstrated on-the-job experience with backup management and security
• Knowledge of router, firewall, and switch configurations and support
• Strong knowledge of operating systems and physical database design
• Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues, security issues, and performance issues
• Experience or knowledge of Oracle
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment where the technology is constantly changing
• Excellent understanding of customer organization’s goals and objectives
• Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills
• Works well in a team and as a self-starter
• Active leader in problem-solving and technical discussions
• Willingness to learn and mentor others
• Ability to communicate to both technical and non-technical personnel
